This is my first posting on this new blog, Laid Off Nation. It’s my attempt to chronicle these perilous times and provide assistance for those in need.

I am not laid off, though that would make for a nice little backstory. Instead, I want to help my friends and neighbors who are struggling by providing a website specifically for those who are laid off and hurting.
