I missed a couple of good stories during my nearly month long sabbatical. One of the ones that I missed from last week was that Microsoft laid off another 3,000 people last Wednesday. This layoffs occurred worldwide and across several different divisions. These cuts were mainly due to redundancies and operational efficiency which basically means Microsoft is most likely trying to cut its costs to match a decline in demand. Even the tech sector hasn’t been safe in this recession.
